Pyxel is a Python library used in different projects of the Image Processing Group which aim at the automatic annotation of images. The library supports basic Bag of Words descriptors both for the visual and textual modalities. In the case of visual, SIFT descriptors are considered, while the textual modality aims at a classic TF-IDF descriptors. The automatic classification is achieved by training an SVM classifier. The library also includes a module to assess the quality of the results based on the precision and recall measures.
