Biography
Eduard Ramon received a degree from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2013. During his bachelor thesis, he analysed the performance of machine learning methods to detect certain kind of intracranial pressure oscillations called B-waves. From 2013 to 2014, he coursed the Master in Computer Vision in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and at the same time, he started working at Crisalix Labs as a computer vision engineer. His master thesis goal was to automatically detect fiducial points in human bodies by using standard image descriptors and classifiers. Currently, Eduard continues his work at Crisalix Labs as a deep learning researcher while at the same time he is a PhD student at the image processing group at UPC under the supervision of Xavi Giró where he works on the applications of deep learning techniques to 3D reconstruction.
