Description
The Hesperia project aims at developing technologies that enable the creation of security systems, video surveillance and control operations of infrastructure and public spaces. The project comes in response to sustained demand in the medium and long term, particularly in countries of the European Union and the United States. Integrated security and control of operations will allow the implementation of low cost systems which, at this time, do not exist in the market.
The technologies investigated in this project will solve the security problems in two types of scenarios. On the one hand, will manage the security and operations in sensitive public infrastructure such as electrical substations, gas, water tanks, or telecommunication stations. On the other, substantially increase the safety levels of large public spaces such as airports, railway stations, ports, city centers especially in pedestrian zones, shopping centers, etc..
The Hesperia project is founded by the CDTI, a body under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain, created in 2005 a National Strategic Consortia for Technical Research (CENIT), whose main objective is to promote public-private cooperation in R&D by funding of joint industrial research.
The consorcium is composed by:
- Indra Software Labs
- Unión Fenosa
- Tecnobit
- SAC Control
- Technosafe
- Visual Tools
- Brainstorm Multimedia.
