IPSAV - Introduction to Audiovisual Signal Processing

The aim of the course is to develop the intuition on the behavior of audiovisual systems and the characteristics of discrete signals with special emphasis on audiovisual signals. The student will be presented with the fundamental perception of audiovisual signals and with useful tools for processing, in the time and frequency domain, discrete signals. At the end of the course, the students should know how to characterize the analog and discrete signals and systems, to employ the Fourier transform to solve signal processing problems, especially applied to audiovisual signals.
