Abstract:
The first Super-resolution techniques appeared in 1984, with the aim of magnifying images without losing details and information. Classical techniques assumed to have several images of the same scene to obtain the magnified version through various processing steps.
The challenge now is to get this magnification from a single picture of the scene. The presented method is initially based on multi-scale analysis generated from the data, an exhaustive search of similar patches on the neighboring pixels and subsequent processing and magnification of the neighbors. Our method has proven to be able to improve results of previous methods and opens a promising door to further advances in image and video multiresolution.
