Prof. Veronica Vilaplana, awarded with a Research Grant for a scientific research project of excellence on cancer by Fundació La Marató de TV3

GPI Prof. Veronica Vilaplana has been awarded with a Research Grant for a scientific research project of excellence on cancer by Fundació La Marató de TV3.
The scientific proposal is entitled Implementació de medicina personalitzada en melanoma maligne mitjançant intel·ligència artificial by Dr. Josep Malvehy, from IDIBAPS Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica August Pi i Sunyer (research group: Melanoma: imaging, genetics and immunology) and Prof. Veronica Vilaplana from IDEAI-UPC (and our research group GPI).

On March 2019, scientific research projects of excellence on cancer were presented to be funded with Research Grant Applications by Fundació La Marató de TV3 from the donations obtained in the 2018 La Marató.
Candidate projects were forwarded to the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Research, under the Catalan Ministry of Health for evaluation following an international peer review procedure in order to guarantee rigour and transparency.

The result of the evaluation was announced in November 2019.
